Meggin Grobmyer

Course Instructor (she/her)

Meggin is the Director of Professional Development Curriculum at Granite Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and master’s degree (M. Ed.) in Instructional Design and Technology, and is an active volunteer in Nashville’s childcare and education community.

Dr. Dean Masullo

G.S.A. Moderator (he/him)

Dean Masullo, Ph.D. is a high school English teacher and moderator of the school’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance (G.S.A.). He received advanced degrees from Vanderbilt University, where he has taught courses in English and American literature. Dean also performs as a musician in multiple groups and serves on community boards in Nashville, Tenn.

Janie Wilkerson - LGBTQ Impact Educator

Janie Wilkerson

LPC-MHSP (she/her)

Janie Wilkerson, LPC-MHSP, is a licensed professional counselor/mental health service provider in private practice in Nashville, with a focus on trauma work, parent support, and gender, sexual, and relationship minorities, especially transgender youth and their families. She is the 2022-23 president of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor Association (TLPCA) and works in legislative advocacy as public policy co-chair. Some of her community advocacy work includes consulting and education for medical professionals, schools, graduate students, and community groups.


Student Contributor (they/them)

Els is a high school senior and co-leader of their school’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance. Els is also a state champion mountain biker, skilled artist, and student pilot currently seeking their license. They are planning to study aerospace engineering in college.
