Upon signing up for a college list, a family will be matched with a Granite college counselor. Next, the family has a preliminary one-hour meeting with the counselor. In this preliminary meeting, you will discuss every facet of your college preferences: academic programs, athletic programs, scholarship (merit and need-based), campus culture, geography, greek-life (or the lack thereof), campus dining, campus size, and much more! In the next phase of the college list creation process, your college counselor will spend one-hour drafting a preliminary college list. The list will include notes as well as detailed statistics: acceptance rate, cost of attendance, average ACT/SAT scores, and more! After a preliminary draft has been completed, another one-hour meeting will serve as an opportunity for the Granite college counselor to provide an in-person explanation of each school on the list and for you to ask questions and request modifications to the list! As a final step in the process, your Granite college counselor will spend another hour updating your list, refining your notes, and adding any additional statics you might want! For most families, the learning doesn’t stop here. Upon completion of the college list process, you can continue to book sessions (on an hourly basis) to explore every detail of the college process: college essay writing, college scholarship search, career exploration, and more.
